At this time, all eggs collected are placed into our incubation program to ensure we can provide high-quality chicks from our selective breeding lines. Each year, we raise over 100 Indio Gigante birds and carefully evaluate them, hand-selecting only the best roosters and hens to be included in our breeding program.

Our chicks are hatched from our tallest and largest breeders.
We normally ship at 1-2 weeks old to ensure they will travel safely to their final destination. We have minimum orders of chicks depending on the season and weather.
Chicks are shipped only through USPS Priority Express, which typically takes 1-2 days to arrive.

We area a small 8 acre family owned farm in South Florida. Rare Rooster Acres is part of the NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) helping maintain a clean and healthy flock.
We specialize in what is considered the worlds largest breed of chickens; the Indio Gigante.
Imported from a very well-known and reputable breeder in Brazil, who has been working on their genetics for over 10 years.
We also raise a variety of colored egg layers such as Marans, Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers, Appenzeller Spitzhaubens, and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.
